In short: we collect the business contact information and message details you provide, the information needed to respond to enquiries or manage a client relationship, and limited website analytics. We do not sell personal information. You can ask to access or correct your information, withdraw marketing consent, or raise a privacy concern at any time.
1. Who we are
Wealth Navigator (“Wealth Navigator,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Canadian marketing-services provider based in Ontario. We help financial advisors, advisory practices, and related firms with LinkedIn, content, outbound lead-generation, and booking workflows. We are not an investment adviser, portfolio manager, dealer, financial planner, lawyer, accountant, or tax adviser.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our public website at getwealthnavigator.com, through contact forms, discovery-call requests, email, calls, and other direct interactions with prospective or current clients.
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@getwealthnavigator.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly. When you submit a contact form, request a discovery call, email us, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect your name, business email address, phone number, firm or company name, role, location, scheduling preferences, call notes, and the contents of your message.
- Marketing and communication preferences. If you subscribe to a newsletter, request follow-up, download a resource, or opt in to marketing communications, we may collect your consent status, unsubscribe preferences, and related communication history.
- Client and service information. If you become a client, we may collect information needed to provide and administer our services, such as account contact details, onboarding responses, firm or advisor profile information, project notes, billing and contract records, service preferences, and support communications.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit our site, our analytics and security tools may collect limited technical information such as IP address, approximate region, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, time on page, and basic event data. We use this information to understand website performance, improve the site, and protect it from abuse.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, measure usage, and remember basic preferences. See our Cookie Policy for more on how to control them.
Please do not send us sensitive personal information through our public website, including financial account numbers, government identifiers, detailed personal financial records, health information, or information about minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site.
3. How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- respond to your enquiries and schedule and conduct discovery calls;
- evaluate whether our services may be a fit for your firm;
- provide, administer, support, and improve our website and marketing services;
- maintain client records, project notes, service history, and business records;
- send information you requested or service-related communications;
- send marketing communications where we have consent or another permitted basis under Canada’s anti-spam rules, and honour unsubscribe requests;
- measure website performance, diagnose issues, and protect our systems; and
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We collect, use, and disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. Depending on the context, we rely on your express consent, implied consent, our need to respond to your request or provide services, and limited legal exceptions that may apply under Canadian privacy law. You may withdraw consent to optional uses, including marketing, subject to legal or contractual limits.
4. Marketing communications and CASL
We may send commercial electronic messages, such as email newsletters, service updates, or follow-up messages about Wealth Navigator, only where permitted by Canada’s anti-spam legislation. This may be because you expressly opted in, made an enquiry, have an existing business relationship with us, or another permitted basis applies.
Our commercial electronic messages identify the sender and include contact information and an unsubscribe mechanism where required. You can unsubscribe using the link or instructions in the message, or by emailing info@getwealthnavigator.com. We will process unsubscribe requests within the timeframe required by law, and may keep a limited suppression record so we do not contact you again.
5. When we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We disclose information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to service providers that help us operate the website and deliver our services:
- CRM and automation providers — to manage enquiries, follow-up, and client records.
- Analytics providers — to understand website usage and performance.
- Email and communications providers — to send and receive messages.
- Scheduling providers — to book and manage discovery calls.
- Hosting, security, and infrastructure providers — to deliver, secure, monitor, and back up the website and related systems.
- Professional advisers — such as legal, accounting, insurance, or compliance advisers, where reasonably needed for our business.
We require service providers to protect personal information and use it only to provide services to us, unless another lawful basis applies. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, to enforce our Terms of Service or agreements, to protect rights, safety, or security, or in connection with a financing, merger, sale, or reorganisation of our business.
6. Cross-border processing
We are based in Canada, but some service providers may store or process personal information outside Ontario or Canada, including in the United States or other jurisdictions. When information is processed outside your province or country, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by courts, law enforcement, or government authorities.
We use contractual and organisational measures designed to protect personal information handled by service providers, taking into account the nature of the information and the services being provided.
7. How long we keep it
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required or permitted by law. For example, we may keep enquiry and discovery-call records for a reasonable follow-up period, client and service records for the duration of the relationship and a reasonable period afterward, and legal, tax, accounting, security, or dispute-related records as needed.
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymise, or securely dispose of it. If you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, we may retain limited information needed to honour that request and maintain our suppression records.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw consent to optional collection, use, or disclosure;
- unsubscribe from marketing communications;
- ask questions about our privacy practices or service providers; and
- ask us to delete or stop using information we no longer need to keep.
To make a request, email info@getwealthnavigator.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and will explain if we cannot fulfil a request because of legal, contractual, security, or recordkeeping reasons.
9. How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorised access, use, disclosure, copying, modification, or disposal. These safeguards may include access controls, account permissions, secure hosting practices, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, backups, and internal procedures for handling personal information.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe information you shared with us has been compromised, contact us promptly at info@getwealthnavigator.com.
10. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it, unless we are legally required or permitted to keep it.
11. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first at info@getwealthnavigator.com so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another privacy regulator that has jurisdiction over your concern.
12. Governing law and international users
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), where applicable. If you access the website from outside Canada, you understand that your information may be handled in Canada and in other jurisdictions as described above. Local privacy rights may also apply depending on where you live.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention, such as by posting the updated policy on this page or providing notice through the website or our usual communication channels.
